My Grandmother
Candy before dinner and cookies after.
Even when I'm in trouble, you conjure laughter.
Mom and dad say go to bed, but you let me stay awake.
In the morning before leaving for the day, a delicious breakfast you make.
You love me when I'm good and even when I'm bad.
To have your presence in my life makes me eternally glad.
You are my grandma and friend too.
Please remember that I will always love you.
